Bangsamoro gov’t launches ‘Padian’ to promote native products

The Bangsamoro Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism (MTIT) lauched Saturday, December 14, the “Padian” at the Mall of Alnor in Cotabato City.

The activity was in line with the celebration of the 2019 Shariff Kabunsuan Festival.

Padian is a local term in Mindanao, which means market—a place where people buy and sell different commodities.

MTIT’s department of tourism head Shalimar Candao said the fair showcases various native products found in the Bangsamoro region.

“The Padian (was organized) to help our local producers introduce and promote their products,” Candao said.

The event was conducted in partnership with The Moropreneur Inc. (TMI) and the Mall of Alnor.
