The Bangsamoro government led Monday, October 7, the celebration of the 30th National Statistics Month (NSM) through a parade and short program.
“This [celebration] is for all of us who are in the generation of statistics. Lahat tayo mayroong contribution in terms of statistics sa ating relihiyon at sa ating bansa,” said Regional Director Razulden A. Mangelen of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) during the kick of celebration.
With the theme “Data Innovation: Key to a Better Nation,” the official underscored the “importance of data innovation in coming up with quality statistics.”
Mangelen said the quality statistics will “serve as a basis for reliable decisions and effective policies in achieving a simple and comfortable life in the Bangsamoro region.”
The NSM celebration is conducted in October every year pursuant to Proclamation No. 647, s.1990, signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino.
