A total of 157 individuals participated in the free Information and Communications Technology (ICT) diagnostic pre-assessment examination Thursday, February 27, in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The Office of the Chief Minister’s Information and Communication Office (OCM-ICO) spearheaded the examination held at the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City.
The pre-assessment examination was open to ICT professionals and practitioners working in the Bangsamoro government and those who are working outside BARMM, the regional government said.
Passers of the pre-assessment exam will proceed to take an ICT Specialist Proficiency Exam, wherein successful examinees will be conferred an Electronic Data Processing Specialist Eligibility (EDPSE) – equivalent to a Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) professional eligibility.
Manan Butongkay, DICT provincial officer for clustered Regions 11 and 12, said the examination was aimed at helping ICT professionals who find it hard to pass the CSC second level eligibility.
Butongkay said those who will not pass may have to undergo additional training and may take another pre-assessment for free.
