Bangsamoro gov’t distributes 9K relief packs to barangays in North Cotabato


The Bangsamoro government’s Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) has turned over 9,000 relief packs to 13 barangays of Midsayap, North Cotabato Sunday, April 5.

The regional government said eache of the relief packs contained 10 kilos of rice, six pieces of canned goods, 10 sachets of coffee, and soaps.

The relief packs were turned over to the barangay chairmen who will conduct the house-to-house distribution.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD-BARMM) is set to start the relief distribution in the barangays of Kabacan and Carmen Monday, April 6, the regional government said.

Some 63 barangays in North Cotabato are now part of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) after they opted to join the region in a plebiscite held in February 2019.

The Bangsamoro government has been assisting the residents in the region amid the quarantine being implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
