Bangsamoro Darul Ifta sets guidelines for Eid’l Adha prayers


The Bangsamoro Darul Ifta has issued the health and safety standards to be strictly observed during the conduct of Eid’l Adha prayers on Friday, July 31.

Bangsamoro Mufti and executive director of Regional Darul Ifta Abuhuraira A. Udasan said the Salat al-Eid’l Adha shall be performed Friday at 6:05 a.m.

Other health and safety standards are the following:

No more than 50 percent of the mosque or venue’s capacity is allowed;

Time allocated for prayer shall not exceed 30 minutes;

Wearing of face mask shall be maintained;

Physical distancing of at least one meter apart shall be complied with;

Everyone shall bring his/her own “sajadah”;

Sanitation and hand washing at the entrance of the mosque or venue shall be required;

The mosque or venue shall be vacated immediately after the prayer for disinfection; and

Anyone who does not feel well has to perform prayer at home.

President Rodrigo Duterte has declared Friday, July 31, a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice.
