Catholic dioceses in Mindanao are banding together to help residents of Marawi City recover from the effects of fighting there.
Dubbed “Duyog Marawi,” the effort covers those of the archdiocese in Piagapo, Lanao del Sur and the Marawi prelature.
“Ang tinitignan nga up to the future up to December sana ma-sustain and hopefully we can also get support like from Caritas Manila for example to sustain also the need for psycho-social,” Cagayan De Oro archdiocese social action coordinator Carl Cabaraban said.
He said the psycho-social intervention and giving of medicines may last until yearend.
But Cabaraban also said they need support from other organizations of the Church to sustain their efforts.
