A lechon boodle fight is set to take place later this month in General Santos City.
The South Cotabato Swine Poducers (Socospa), in partnership with the City Veterinary Office (CVO), will prepare about 35 crispy and delicious lechon for the residents and guests during the boodle fight to be held on July 27.
Dr. Rex Calub, CVO Assistant Department Head, said through the barangay captains, they will invite 50 persons per barangay to partake in the event.
Also invited are the city officials led by Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera and Vice Mayor Atty. Loreto B. Acharon, officials of the Department of Agriculture, media practitioners, and other guests.
According to Dr. Emilio Gargaran, one of the division chiefs of CVO, the event will start with “Parada ng mga Lechon” at about 9:30 in the morning.
He said tents will be set up in front of the Oval Plaza stage where the lechon boodle fight will be held after the parade.
The boodle fight starts at about 11:00 to 11:30 in the morning, Gargaran added.
