The Bangsamoro government condemned Sunday, August 30, the brutal killing in Kabacan, North Cotabato that resulted in the death of at least nine individuals.
The regional government called for justice for the victims, who were identified as Bangsamoros even if the incident Saturday, August 29, took place outside its area of jurisdiction.
“These senseless violent acts have no place in a progressive society, especially at a time when people are in a grip of a global pandemic,” it said.
“We want justice,” it added.
The Bangsamoro government vowed to conduct its own investigation on “this brutality.”
“The Bangsamoro government would like to inform the Provincial Government of North Cotabato and the Municipal Government of Kabacan that we are ready to cooperate to get into the bottom of this ruthless killing,” it added.
Unidentified armed men ambushed the victims who were on board their motorcycles.
