76 barangays in Lanao del Sur declared drug-cleared, drug-free – LGU


Some 76 barangays in Lanao del Sur were declared drug-cleared and/or drug-free.

According to the Lanao del Sur government, after the thorough assessment and validation done by the Regional Oversight Committee (ROC), the concerned barangays were declared clear from illegal drugs pursuant to the requirements set by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No.4, Series of 2021.

The assessment was made during the attendance of the secretariat of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) in the meeting of the ROC on Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) on June 15-18,2022 at the Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs) of Kapatagan, Masiu, Marogong, Pagayawan, Piagapo, and Wao applied for the retention of the drug-cleared and/or drug-free status of their respective barangays.

The BADACs of Amai Manabilang and Pualas also applied for the deliberation of their barangays for the same status.

The BADAC Chairpersons presented their anti-drug campaign/activities in their respective communities and the rehabilitation of their Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDs) through the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP).
