5 nabbed, drug den dismantled in Lanao del Sur anti-drug operation


Five individuals allegedly involved in illegal drugs were arrested and a drug den was dismantled during a buy-bust operation in Lanao del Sur.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the suspects as Cesar Caballero Delfin, drug den maintainer; Jomar Delfin, Allan Edris, Ian Meliton, and Maricel Ramos.

The operatives from PDEA Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and the local police launched the operation Tuesday, February 11, in Barangay Purok 3, Barangay Eastern, Wao, Lanao del Sur.

Seized during the buy-bust were 34 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing about 20 grams, with an estimated value of P136,000.00, and several drug paraphernalia, two sling bags, a mobile phone, two identification cards, and one caliber .45 pistol with one magazine loaded with six live ammunition.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act No. 10591, or the Act Providing for the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition. #
