Gov Sali honors gov’t workers for their contribution to Tawi-Tawi’s progress

Tawi-Tawi Governor Yshmael “Mang” I. Sali has led the awarding ceremony for the government workers who have worked hard to provide their services to the people in the province. The 3rd Manggagawa Awards: Gabi ng Parangal at Pasasalamat held recently in Bongao coincided with the governor’s 59th birthday early this month, the provincial government said.

Zamboanga City LGU rises subsidy, forms volunteer groups for Red Cross

Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe has signed two memoranda of understanding to increase the city government’s subsidy and create volunteer groups for the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). Under the first MOU, the local government’s subsidy assistance to PRC-Zamboanga would increase to P4 million from P2.5 million. In another MOU, RC 143 volunteer groups have been formed.

Voters in 2 Marawi City barangays OK creation of 2 more villages – Comelec

Registered voters of two barangays in Marawi City have approved the creation of two more barangays in the city, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Sunday, March 19. The poll body said 99.37% or 473 voters in Barangay Sagonsongan voted “yes” to ratify an ordinance creating Barangay Dalidigan, while 00.63%, or only three voted “no.” In Barangay Boganga, 99.79% or 948 voted “yes” to create Barangay Boganga II and 00.21% or two voters said “no.”

2 barangay halls to rise in Maguindanao del Norte

The Bangsamoro government has conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of two barangay halls in Maguindanao del Norte. The Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) led the event for the construction of 2-storey village halls in Parang and Barira towns. The project, amounting to P3.4 million each, is funded by the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM).

Gov Pacquiao seeks to promote Sarangani’s culture and arts

Sarangani Governor Rogelio D. Pacquiao has convened the Sarangani Culture and Arts Council to discuss plans to further promote the culture and arts of the province. “We must remember that culture and arts represent the soul of our people. It represents our identity, as well as our collective aspirations,” he said during the recent meeting.

Gov Tamayo spearheads outreach program for South Cotabato residents

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo has initiated a community outreach program, which benefited at least 2,800 residents in the province. The provincial government said the free social services program was dubbed “Tama kag Maayo nga Serbisyo para sa Katawhan,” which was held at Barangay Polonuling in Tupi town Friday, March 17.
