Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe convened Thursday afternoon, November 17, a special meeting with the City Health Office (CHO) officials due to the rising cases of leptospirosis. City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Miravite reported that from October 27 to November 16, there were 97 reported leptospirosis cases with 12 deaths.
The Tagum City government has officially declared the “Festival Season 2022.” With the theme “Kabaguhan, Kabibo, ug Kahiusahan,” different booths have been put up at the City Hall Atrium.

The Island Garden City of Samal government, with funding from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), has distributed cash assistance to over 300 individuals. Of the total 356 beneficiaries, 41 received P3,000 each under the Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), 140 got P5,000 each for burial assistance, and 175 residents who were affected by Tropical Storm “Paeng” receive P5,000 each, the Samal Island Information said.
