Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has lifted the lockdown of an area in Barangay Tetuan after two patients infected with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) recovered and were discharged from the hospital.
Climaco, in a statement, said Saturday that her office would also lift the lockdown Sunday of San Jose Gusu.
The two discharged patients are living in Barangays Tetuan and San Jose Gusu, respectively.
“The two discharged patients were asymptomatic for two weeks and tested negative in their repeat tests,” Climaco said.
But she said the health teams will continue to monitor them as they are still advised to remain on home quarantine for at least 14 days.
The mayor said that the other confirmed COVID-19 patients admitted at Zamboanga City Medical Center are stable and are awaiting for their repeated tests also.
