Mati City government under Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat has purchased two new ambulance units worth P5 million.
The vehicles arrived in the city Thursday, October 15, for the city’s Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services (PEMS).
“The brand new Nissan Urvan medical ambulances will be assigned to the City Health Office for transporting of patients to other facilities inside and outside of Mati City,” Rabat said.
The City Council recently passed Resolution No. 236, sponsored by Councilors Rogelio Pabio and Cheeno Miguel Almario, establishing the PEMS. Rabat approved the resolution on Oct. 5, 2020.
The PEMS, under the Health Emergency Medical Services of the City Health Office, aims to provide access to the poor and indigent patients from the City of Mati to emergency and medical transport service. #
