Zambo City asks barangays to turnover records, property until before noon of June 30
The city government of Zamboanga said Tuesday all villages should have the inventory and turnover of all the financial records and property of the barangays before the new set of officials assume their post by the end of June.
“The Office of the City Accountant is reminding all barangays to comply with the provisions of DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) Memorandum Circular 2018-12 on the inventory and turnover of all barangay properties, financial records, documents, and money accountabilities,” the local government said.
Pursuant to the memorandum, it said all barangays have to furnish to the City Accountant, City Auditor and DILG a copy of their accomplished Turnover Form No. 2.
They also have to post the final inventory and Turnover Form No. 2 approved by the City Auditor Transition Team in three conspicuous places within the barangay premises and in the barangay official website or Facebook page, if any.
The barangays must also plan and conduct the formal turnover ceremony not later than 12 noon of June 30, 2018, the city government said.
The newly-elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials will assume their post starting noon of June 30.
