Wait lang kayo! Inday Sara wants hikers to wait for official trekking rules for Mt. Talomo
Hiking isn’t as fun when it leads to the destruction of the environment.
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has appealed to excited hikers to stop climbing Mt. Talomo in Davao as their gateway to the popular Mt. Apo, saying that the city is currently preparing a comprehensive eco-tourism plan to protect the watershed there.
The politiko made the announcement via Facebook, saying that those who will insist using the mountain may face penalties from the local government if caught violating the rules. Duterte said they trekkers only need to wait for the new guidelines to be released by the city hall. Chill muna!
