‘Wag akong sisihin! Duterte: Davao a ‘ghost town’ by 12 midnight ‘coz of Sara
President Rodrigo Duterte may have imposed a curfew in Davao City when he was its mayor, but it was his daughter who took its implementation to the extreme.
In a speech in Bukidnon Friday (August 3), Duterte said it was Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte who lowered the curfew to 12 midnight.
“Si Inday rin kasi, I really — I do not want to criticize her kasi nag-impose ako noon ng from 2, I reduced it to 1 o’clock and everybody sleeps and closes. Si Inday ngayon, ewan ko kung bakit nagalit. Binaba ng 12,” he said.
Duterte said Davao is now a “ghost town” once 12 midnight strikes because of the curfew imposed by his daughter.
Davao City if you noticed is a ghost town at 12 o’clock. Walang naglalakad, walang naninigarilyo. Kasi madampot ka, you stay overnight lang naman,” he said.
Despite his daughter’s strictness, Duterte said he is proud that Davao is a peaceful city.
