After his father’s historic visit to the People’s Republic of China where he brought in USD24 billion worth of trade deals and concessions, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and five other councilors will leave for Shanghai this October 26 and look for possible trade and investment connections with the Chinese city.

“It is high time we explore economic relations with China especially because it is in consonance with what President Rodrigo Duterte is trying to do,” he added.
“By going to Shanghai, we can open doors between the two cities and establish bilateral relations in many areas especially economic development and investments,” Lopez stressed.
Accompanied the younger Duterte in this mission are Majority floor leader Bernard Al-ag; Diosdado Mahipus who is chair of the committee on environment; Nilo Abellera, Jr., chair of the committee on public safety; and Al Ryan Alejandre, chair of the committee on tourism and Lopez.
The politiko said they have prepared a presentation for their Chinese counterparts and this will be on the economic development and opportunities in Davao City.
