Sara Duterte, senior security officials sign resolution against Mariano
A joint resolution against the confirmation of Rafael Mariano as Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) secretary, which bears the signature of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, are making rounds in social media.
The resolution was signed by members of the Davao Regional Peace and Order Council, senior officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Mayor Duterte.
The mayor earlier denied signing such document, saying she cannot remember if there was a discussion or a resolution against Mariano.
The resolution implicates Mariano to the attacks made by the New People’s Army (NPA) on the Lapanday Foods Corporation (LFC) facilities in Davao City last May.
Following the incident, Mayor Duterte lambasted the NPA for the death of a fish vendor caught in the simultaneous attacks on the three LFC plants in Mandug village in Davao City.
Mayor Duterte’s husband, lawyer Manases Carpip, is the legal counsel and managing partner of LFC.
