Salute to the heroes! VG Villanueva honors fallen Kotabatenyos

North Cotabato Vice-Governor Shirlyn Macasarte-Villanueva gave her final salute to the fallen soldiers by recognizing and immortalizing the bravery of the valiant sons of the City.
In a Facebook post, the Politiko shared the Posthumous Award plaques given to the families of the slain Kotabatenyo soldiers in the war-torn community of Marawi.
“The son’s of Cotabato manifested the bravery and dedication of every Kotabatenyo. Thank you for your loyalty, valor and exemplary display of genuine service to the Filipino people and to our country”, she said in her post.]
Among those who were given recognition include Capt. John Carl Morales, Sgt. Marlon Baldovino, Sgt. Eric Jason Coros, Sgt. Angelo Estores Jr and Cpl. Elmer Bueno.
In an interview for Manila Bulletin, a parent of a fallen soldier unveiled that the North Cotabato Vice Governor immediately came to the aid of the families and disclosed a plan to pass a resolution to cite the soldiers for their acts of heroism for the country.
