Paolo Duterte mocks Rappler: “Laughler, Pila Granada”
The Presidential son has left some comments on the controversial news agency.
Former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte recently threw some shade to Rappler and its reporter Pia Ranada, who’s been the center of controveries. On his Instagram, he shared some photos of Surigao del Sur river, tagging it as a new tourist destination in the Philippines.
“Ang PINAKABAG-O NGA TOURIST DESTINATION SA PILIPINAS SURIGAO RED SEA…PILA GRANADA KANI MAS NINDOT NGA ISSUE SA LAUGHLER..KORTESIYA SA MINING! LUPIG PAY ULO SA PAGKA UPAW SA BUKID…”, he wrote on his Instagram account Thursday morning, days following the news of SEC’s cancellation of Rappler’s operaional license due to ownership issues.
He was referring to the news reports on mining activities in Surigao written by Pia way back 2015.
“Pila granada of laughler gibahugan na tika ug ebidensya ha di na fake news!!! O C’MON GURL….sige daw sige daw…”, he added on the comments section.
Pia Ranada wrote an article about the drastic effects of mining to the livelihood of the people in Surigao. Subsequently, Marcventures Mining wrote a letter to Rappler asking the news outlet to take down the news which negatively depicts its mining activities.
