Mayor Climaco seeks resolution of six shooting incidents in Zamboanga City
Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has ordered security officials to ensure the resolution of the six shooting incidents that took place this month in the city and to prevent similar incident from happening again.
Climaco, who is in a foreign trip, has asked Acting Mayor Cesar Iturralde to convene a special meeting of the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) to discuss the shooting incidents from July 1 to 11 in different villages.
During the meeting Wednesday, Iturralde called for improved police visibility in the city.
He urged the Task Force Zamboanga and the police to closely coordinate in the implementation of renewed security measures.
According to Zamboanga City police, of the six shooting incidents, two were considered solved with the arrest of the suspects.
Authorities were expecting the apprehension of the other suspects anytime.
