Mayor Climaco: Course offering in Zamboanga City state-run college to be reviewed
Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco said the concerned agencies in the city will conduct an assessment of the courses being offered by the newly-established Colegio de la Ciudad de Zamboanga to match the employment opportunities.
This as Climaco urged the out-of-school youth (OSY) to take advantage of the free education at the Colegio de la Ciudad de Zamboanga.
“We will review the course offering subject to the capability of the faculty,” Climaco said.
She said the primary objective of the city-run college is to provide the OSY with free but quality technical education.
The Colegio de la Ciudad de Zamboanga merges the Ayala Technical-Vocational School and the Vitali Technical-Vocational School into one college with Dr. Jose Genaro Yap-Aizon as the college president.
Christian Olasiman, administrator of Ayala Voc-Tech School, said the College aims to become a premiere general comprehensive and polytechnic institution in the region.
