Mas pinabongga? Zamboanga nearly doubles Hermosa Festival budget
From just P3 million last year, the budget for Zamboanga City’s annual Hermosa Festival has been jacked up to P5 million this 2017.
This was bared in a Zamboanga Times report Saturday (August 12), or less than two months before the actual event is kicked off.
City Special Events Chief Christian Olasiman said the P2-million budget increase will pave the way for new activities during the festival itself, which will run for two weeks in October.
The report said that this year, Zamboanga will make a conscious effort to showcase its cultural heritage to visitors during Hermosa or the “Fiesta Pilar.”
The money will be sourced from the City Government’s supplemental budget.
At any rate, we shall soon see what a P5-million fiesta looks like.
