Maguindanao town Mayor Diocolano has message for drug pushers
Mother Kabuntalan, Maguindanao Mayor Datu Salaban Diocolano warned drug pushers Sunday (August 13) to steer clear from his municipality.
This, after the local government unit was given the coveted “drug-free” status by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), a Brigada News FM Cotabato report said.
Diocolano said that drug peddlers have no place in Mother Kabuntalan, and that those who do dare to ply their wares in the town would undoubtedly be captured by police or soldiers.
The last few local Barangaya to be declared cleared of illegal drugs by PDEA were Payan, Bagumbayan, Upper Taviran, Lower Taviran, Pedtad, Dadtumeg, Ganta, Gambar, Poblacion Kabuntalan, Katidtuan, Matilak, Maitung, Pened, Butilen, Langeban and Liyong.
Mother Kabuntalan has 17 villages in total.
PDEA-ARMM Regional Director Juvenal Azurin bared in the same report that all Barangays went through a very strict certification process.
