Kulong si Vice Gov! Former Zamboanga Sibugay politiko sentenced to 6-10 years in jail for graft

Former Zamboanga Sibugay Vice Governor Eugenio Famor is sentenced by the Sandiganbayan to six to 10 years in jail for graft and malversation of public funds in connection to the almost P600,000 paid to non-existent Aid to the Poor beneficiaries.

The Sandiganbayan’ First Division sentenced the Zamboanga Sibugay politiko to six to 10 years imprisonment for each of the seven counts of graft and malversation via falsification cases against him.

The anti-graft court also perpetually disqualified Famor from running for and holding public office.

He was also ordered to pay a fine of P593,000.

The Sandiganbayan said it was unlikely that the supposed 131 beneficiaries are all “itinerants” just like Famor said.
