Japan turns over P4.2-M worth of school building in Maguindanao
The Japanese Embassy has turned over approximately P4.2-million worth of two-storey building that will address congestion in a school in Maguindanao.
“The Project for Reconstruction of Classrooms of Al Azhaire Academy in Cotabato, Maguindanao,” funded through Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, was turned over by the Embassy officials in a ceremony on March 13.
The Japanese Embassy, in a statement, said the increased in enrollment in Al Azhaire Academy resulted to crowded classrooms.
“(H)ence expanding the number of classrooms is an urgent need of the school,” it said.
“This project intends to provide proper and safe learning environment to around 1,200 students of Al Azhaire Academy,” the Embassy added.
The construction of the six-classroom school building with furniture and equipment is in line with the Japan-Bangsamoro Initiatives for Reconstruction and Development (J-BIRD) 2.
The project was coursed through the Al-Amanah Humanitarian Development and Services, Inc. #
