Imbestigahan dapat! Arbison links Tan anew to ASG coddling
Sulu 2nd district Rep. Munir Arbison on Wednesday (May 24) reiterated his call for an investigation on provincial officials who are allegedly in cahoots with the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
“I renew the call for senate inquiry on the alleged connivance between Sulu local officials and the ASG so that we will be able to neutralize not only the terrorists but also their protectors and coddlers,” he said.
Arbison gave the remark a day after terrorists from the Maute Group–known allies of the ASG–launched an attack in Marawi City in Lanao del Sur.
He went as far as naming former Sulu governor Sakur Tan as being implicated in the alleged coddling of terrorists.
“Actually we are calling for the investigation prior to this happening, we are calling for the investigation. Yung coddling of local officials at tsaka yung Abu Sayyaf.
“In fact sa Sulu, alam niyo naman na ransom ang nagwo-work out dun. In fact may affidavit ang one of the Germans saying the local officials in Sulu received a huge amount of money…as stated in the affidavit, it’s Sakur Tan,” Arbison said in a press conference.
If anything, he said he supports Duterte’s subsequent declaration of Martial Law over Mindanao, since this would flush out the terrorist coddlers.
Tan has repeatedly denied the allegations against him.
