Gov. Tan certifies 2 villages in Talipao drug-free
Sulu Governor Abdusakur A. Tan II has declared two villages in Talipao municipality as drug-free.
Tan issued certificates of “Drug Cleared Barangay” for Mungit Mungit and Kabatuhan Bilaan, two villages in Talipao town.
Supt. Almer M. Ismael, chief of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, the two barangays have been verified and validated in accordance with the parameters set forth by the Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 3, series of 2017.
President Rodrigo Duterte has declared an all-out war against illegal drugs in the country.
Government data showed that over 4,000 people allegedly involved in illegal drugs have been killed in the police operations since July 2016 up to May this year.
