Gov Jayvee Uy lauds heroes behind Thai Cave Rescue
It seems like the Politiko was smitten with the world’s united efforts to safely bring the boys home.
Compostela Valley Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy couldn’t contain his excitement when news of the successful Thai Cave Rescue operations broke Tuesday evening. The Politiko was one of the first commenters on the breaking news article which announced the safe return of the 13 ‘Wild Boars’ in Thailand.
“Great job mga bayani!”, Gov. Jayvee wrote on the comments section of CNN Philippines’ breaking news post.
On June 23, a group of young Thai soccer players were trapped in Tham Luang Cave in Norther Thailand after monsoon rains flooded and blocked the cave system’s entrance. After a gruelling 23-day ordeal, the young kids aged 11 to 16 were successfully rescued with the collective efforts of the Thail Navy SEAL and international cave diving experts.
