Gov. Hataman leads groundbreaking of P140M Maguindanao road project
Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Governor Mujiv Hataman led Friday the groundbreaking ceremony of the P140-million road project in Upi, Maguindanao.
Also present in the ceremony was Upi Mayor Ramon Piang.
The 8.26-kilometer road will link the villages of Blensong and Nuro and will mainly benefit about 15,000 residents in the said villages, Hataman said.
Once completed, the road will help improve the flow of goods and products in Upi, he added.
ARMM’s Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has provided the fund for the project under its regular infrastructure budget for this year.
The project is expected to be completed within 451 days.
Since 2013, the ARMM already constructed 31-km roads in Upi, amounting to P483.7 million.
