‘Featherweight! Featherbrain!’ Inday Sara slams veteran journo over ‘martial law in Davao’

Add a dash of feisty politician to a cup of a journalist’s critique, and one gets the perfect social media verbal rally of the week.

Round 1: Veteran journalist Raissa Robles, who voiced out her opinion against the martial law in the whole Mindanao, questions the presidential daughter’s “martial law guidelines in Davao.”

Inday Sara Duterte, however, lashed out at the Robles’ reading comprehension, emphasizing that the guidelines were for “Davaoeños” ordered by the Davao City mayor herself.

Robles got a “featherweight” insult from Inday Sara, which means wimp or a small lady who gets easily high or drunk.

Round 2: Robles pointed out Davao City’s lockdown, which discouraged the entry of refugees from the ongoing clash of government forces and Maute group in Marawi City, contrary to the move of Iligan and Cotabato cities.

Inday Sara did not attack the argument this time and went ad hominem full mode, calling Robles “featherbrain” — a silly or absentminded person.

Duterte supporters were quick to back up the mayor, saying what Robles was doing was politically divisive.

The journalist, however, warned that the neighboring cities could only take so much people from Marawi that Davao would eventually need to open its doors.

But “trolls,” as Robles called them, only poured on her Twitter feed.
