Duterte reveals burden in raising ‘baby’ Pulong: Nagtatae!
President Rodrigo Duterte revealed that among his children, former Davao City Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte, was the most difficult to raise because of his special needs.
In a speech, Duterte, who was then a fledgling Tanodbayan (now Ombudsman) fiscal, said he had to moonlight as a teacher to get extra income when Pulong was born in 1975.
“Alam ko na mahirap ang buhay. Alam ko maliit ang sweldo. I was just a 7th assistant city fiscal when I started.
I was doing teaching work sa academy ng police for Mindanao. I was handling Criminal Law, Criminal Investigation, and Criminal Evidence to augment the income. Ang layo niyang lugar na ‘yan, panahon pa ng NPA (New People’s Army). And I was the one who was tasked to do to prosecute the NPAs,” he said.
So what was Pulong’s special needs?
“Kasi itong Pulong na ito, nakikita ninyo na… Nagtatae. Ang gusto special na gatas, S-26. Hindi siya makainom ng gabi kasi lactose intolerance,” joked Duterte.
