Di maka-move on? VM Pulong Duterte: Ex-wife, not current wife January, on RWM attack
You’re not a Duterte anymore, tells Davao Vice Mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte to former wife Lovelie Sangkola Sumera.
The presidential son clarified that it was Sumera, and not her current wife, Councilor January Duterte, who was in Resorts World Manila in Pasay when it was attacked and gutted by a lone gunman on June 2.
The former couple, who have three children, formally separated in 2005. Their divorce was finalized by a sharia court in 2006. Sangkola then remmaried a certain RJ Sumera.
Pulong said journalists might have mistaken Sumera because she “continues to introduce herself as my wife.”
What made his blood boil though was Sumera dragging their children to the mess and “portraying herself as victim.”
“Among many other things, I was called thoughtless for pointing out the truth about her and how she relishes being called my wife,” he said.
Pulong was right: Truth is indeed offensive. And it hurts.
