Chillax to the max! Sandiganbayan allows Pedro Acharon to go on Japan-China cruise
South Cotabato First District Representative Pedro Acharon Jr. has received a nod from the Sandiganbayan 7th Division to go to China and Japan.
The anti-graft court has issued a resolution which granted his motion to travel to Shanghai, China and Okinawa, Japan from March 21 to 27.
“Over the objection of the prosecution instant motion is hereby granted, subject to the usual terms and conditions imposed by the court,” read the court’s resolution.
In his motion to travel, Acharon informed the court he will take a five-day cruise with his wife and members of the Visayan bloc of the House of Representatives.
Acharon said during the cruise he and fellow legislators will discuss tourism convergence projects and other ongoing programs.
On the other hand, the court reminded him that he should return to the Philippines by March 27 and present himself before the clerk of court within five days.
Acharon is currently facing before the court a pending graft case over his alleged failure to liquidate P2.5 million in 2006 when he was General Santos City mayor.
