CA blocked anew from kicking out CDO mayor Oscar Moreno
The Court of Appeals (CA) issued another Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) to prevent the implementation of another 11 dismissal order of Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno issued by the Office of the Ombudsman.
Moreno’s legal counsel, lawyer Dale Mordeno, said the new batch of dismissal order was still part of the 48 cases filed against the mayor for his alleged anomalous transactions when Moreno was still governor of Misamis Oriental.
Petitioner Antonio Nuñez filed 48 administrative and 24 criminal cases against Moreno.
Supporters of Moreno gathered anew for a prayer rally at Cagayan de Oro City Hall.
City Administrator Dionnie Gersana said that Moreno would continue to serve the people until all cases were resolved.
