Alvarez says CHR deserves zero budget. Here’s why
House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said that the Commission of Human Rights (CHR) deserves zero budget for not conducting its job of protecting human rights fairly.
Walang comment,” the Speaker said.
As such, he said that personally, the CHR shouldn’t receive a single centavo for the year 2018.
During the panel hearing itself, Alvarez interpellated CHR Commissioner Chito Gascon and told him that he was “unfair” and “partisan.”
